Building a lean to and wondering if this would be ok?

I have a metal swing set frame and was wondering if I could use this for like the opening of the lean to? Like, if you look at it front on the frame would be like this —- |-| (the middle line would be on top). The wood/metal (whatever i use) would sort of go out from that. I hope you guys get what i’m saying ! So, would it be ok to use the metal swing set fram in the lean to structure?
Ok, the swing set is not one of those cheap…this is a heavy duty, stuck in the ground, metal frame.

If it is steel and you have someone who can cut the steel up and then re-weld it to the shape you need. I don’t see why you can’t use the swing set steel.

My husband and father both weld and they make things out of all types of weird and wonderful things Often people would have no idea what the materials were unless you told them.

My father stole my mums jumping rails to make free standing shelters, his reply was “you asked for shelters, you got them! You did not say what to make them out of” LOL Can’t argue with that logic

So once again, if you have a handy person who can construct this for you and they have the correct tools they can build it out of anything you would like. If the swing set is not getting used and the steel is there, why buy more steel

Just make sure it is high enough for the horse you have (keep in mind possible future horses) and the foundations are deep and strong enough to with stand the weather/wind that you have.

In bad weather horses often prefer to be out in the open, so if it has tin flapping etc then they most likely won’t want to go in it at all. If your using it as a sun shelter, then people often use shade cloth here in Australia.
