Kids Play Equipment Outdoor

What is the best way to clean kids’ outdoor play equipment? It gets that black film on it after awhile.?
I find that neither bleach nor ammonia (not together of course!!!) don’t seem to remove it. I’m wondering if there is a better product or a better method.
scrub it down with comet and then spray it with a hose. It’ll look brand new. good luck
