Play Equipment Plans
Do you need training before paint balling?
I have never gone before and am planning to go next week.
Do you just walk in, rent equipment, and play on your own? Do they teach you first? How long should I pay to paintball for? Is it fun? Does it hurt? Is it expensive?

You just go up to the field office and you fill out the paper work to play. I recommend looking online and seeing what the prices are and bring enough money to pay for the rental cost and all that then some extra money for more paint and bring some food. Most of the time you will be there for a while and you will get hungry from running around.
The field should tell you what the rules are for that field and demonstrate to you how to operate the marker and what you are suppose to do when you play. I always recommend watching a game or two and see what the other people are doing and normally that will give you a good idea of what you will do.
For walk ons you go to the field and they will make groups and you will play with a few other people. Depending on the field you could be playing with as lil as 4 people or up to about 30 or more. You will never be playing on your own.
