Do gaming companies purposely put glitches in games?
For example, Grand Theft Auto 4 swing set glitch that launches your car across the whole city if you get it right. Are these glitches purposely put in to make the game more fun/interesting or completely accidental? Thanks.
Lots of glitches left in games are accidental. not everything can be tested, and some glitches require you to do some pretty stupid stuff to get to in the first place.
When the game was being tested, it’s likely that noone thought to try driving into the swing set, let alone go near it, since the place it’s in is pretty out of the way of everything else you’re doing. And when it was found to be so amusing to the players who have found it, they have purposefully not patched it and it’s now an accidental easter-egg/fun glitch.
