Swing Set Orlando
Fly or drive with 4 month old on a 12 hour trip?
WE live in Orlando and are planning a trip to the grandparents with our 4 month old. I have succesfully made 3 hour trips with her sleeping the whole way, but am seriously concerned about 12 hours. Flying comes with its own set of hassles and we won’t be able to bring her things, such as a fold up swing, bassinet, etc. What do you think? Have any of you ever made such a long drive with a baby. How much time did it add to the trip?
I totally would recommend flying. We flew with our daughter at 5 months, and it went so much better than we were prepared for it to go. How long are you planning on being gone? If it’s not very long (a week or less?) I would make do without all the baby gear. I can’t imagine driving that far, considering feedings, diaper changes, if the baby gets carsick, etc. Can the grandparents borrow anything from people they know (from work maybe? or church?), such as a bassinet? Maybe you could bring your own sheet, so that it smells like home. Good luck~
