Need games to play in a creek for horse camp…?
every year at my barn, we have a summer camp. one time each month: june, july, and august.
we do a long trial ride in the morning, and stop for lunch at the campsite. the kids love to play in the creek there. we have a rope swing and tire swing there. my instructor has also asked her husband to set up a zip line through the water. however, when we get back from our ride, the kids are bored…
so my instructor has asked me to come up with as many ideas as possible for the kids to play games in the creek. so far all i can think of is a question game about horses and if they get it wrong, they have to go off the rope swing or something.
if you have any ideas at all, please tell me. we all want the kids to have as much fun as possible and to be a memory that they never want to forget.
we have a rope swing on the lake we live by! my friends and i always ask a question really fast as the person is going off the rope swing and they have to answer before they hit the water. its really fun because its hard to understand the questions and answers when speaking fast. lol you could ask horse trivia for this. also we try to grab leaves off the tree as we swing up whoever gets the most leaves wins. also not really knowing if the horses are ok with this or if the kids can do it but play a red light green light game on horse back, crossing the creek etc. also mini obsticale courses like jumping off the swing grabing a bucket of water and running back with all of it. even finding different colored rocks or having someon etoss a rock in and have them find it not sure how deep it is good luck
